Valerie McKinnon - Marketing Director
An 18-year resident at Lake Tahoe, Valerie has had the
experience of living in both a large coastal city (Los
Angeles) and a small mountain town, and much prefers the
small mountain town! Her introduction to the Lake Tahoe
area was by way of a holiday, and it was, as the saying
goes, love at first sight. The combination of mountain
views and an accessible (not to say breathtaking) lake,
she feels, has absolutely no equal. “I cannot imagine
ever moving away from here - where would I go that could
match this ?” is her reply when asked if she plans
to live here much longer. Summers during which she is
on the lake “as often as possible”, and winters
spent snowshoeing, sitting by the fire and reading a good
book, and watching the snow fall, are not pastimes easily
relinquished.
An avid traveler, Valerie flies to foreign shores whenever
possible, and indulges in one of her passions - photography.
Fortunately, this passion can also be indulged right here
at home !
Her career has grown and changed from computer programming
to customer service to management, accounting, and now
marketing, which of course makes use of the knowledge
acquired from all of the previous fields. Her extensive
computer & accounting background and her familiarity
with software programs including but not limited to Excel,
Quickbooks, Adobe PhotoShop, and Quark, look to be decided
assets when considering upcoming projects. She looks forward
to the challenges, personal and professional growth, and
experiences to come. |

Judy Leong
- Database Operations Manager
Judy is a four year resident and homeowner in South Lake
Tahoe. She grew up in the Bay Area and most recently resided
in the Silicon Valley. She prefers the slow pace of life
in Tahoe, and enjoys kayaking during the summer and snow
shoeing and cross country skiing during the winter.
She enjoys
spending time with her long-time boyfriend and their
five year old yellow lab, Lumpy. She has worn many hats
during her career, including jobs in the administrative
field, human resources and most recently database administrator
and administrative supervisor at a local engineering
firm. She is also a graduate of San Francisco State
University where she studied Business Administration
and Human Resources.
One of Judy’s
passions is the giant panda. She is an avid collector
of all things panda and has a room dedicated to the
panda. She has traveled to Washington, DC and San Diego
to see the giant pandas. When Judy is not in front of
the computer or out in the woods or on the lake, she
is planning her annual pilgrimage to Disneyland. |
